To say, "Well, that's just the way of the world." is not the answer. Where did I say that?

I have to say this! There is no comparison between exposure of a breast during the nurturing act of feeding a baby and the gratuitous sexual peddlaring of a strip tease tease act!!!!!

Hollyweird is laughing today. Maybe they would stop laughing if CBS was hit with a $1 billion fine.

Some of the commercials were just as bad if not worse.

At the SuperBowl party I attended, most of the guys watching the game went to replenish our beer, and chow down on some Brats and talked about the game during halftime instead of watching the stupid show. But it was a couple of the younger kids and teenagers that were interested in watching the halftime show. So MTV knew who they were targeting.

I wonder if the FCC got any complaints about the crotch-grabbing rapper?
That reminds me: A few years ago, on a trip to the Washington, D. C. area, I saw a professionally painted and airbrushed custom van. On the side, in apparent reference to the van's owner, it said, "The Black Raper". Not Rapper, Raper. Sheesh.

The following message is addressed to you, freepshop, from cincinnati65:
While "offensive" is in the eye of the beholder, keep in mind that this is the half-time event of choice for the largest worldwide television audience of the year, and CBS/MTV forced their opinion of (im)morality on that audience. Changing social mores is not the issue. In a society where we bend over backwards to make sure that NO ONE is ever offended, such a controversial event as this one was bound to cause backlash. To say, "Well, that's just the way of the world." is not the answer.

Beyounce Knowles was awesome. I saw an interview with her. She was inspired by Whitney Houston's performance, and was very honored to sing the anthem. She did an awesome job, demonstrating her respect for the honored position. It was very beautiful, as is she.

My elder children see my wife's breast every time she feeds our infant son. what on earth is the big deal with Americans and breasts? Good point. We get a halftime "show" which is just a promotion of sex, drugs and perversion. This filth fills air waves as the pervs in the entertainment industry try to drag everyone else into their psychosis. That's not news. But let someone show a breast. Wow!

Anybody that doesn't believe this is intentional should just check out the picture on Drudge.
Timberlake has the piece that tore away in his hand. Janet has a neatly placed piece of jewelry all ready to be seen by the public, and the natural reaction of someone who's been accidentally exposed would be to try to cover up the exposed area with your hands. Obviously she was in no hurry to do so.

I truly believe that the NFL may have had something to do with approval of this stunt.
<donning tinfoil>
I base this on the assumption that the NFL would love nothing more than for the Super Bowl (if not the playoff season) to be offered almost strictly Pay per view in the future.
If this incident and maybe one or two more occur in the future, the NFL may be able to get their wish not by asking for it but by it being "forced" on them.</tinfoil>
The question still remains if my theory is true how would CBS and other networks profit from it too? < beginning research >

Of course they are lying. I'm far more concerned about the mind pollution pumped into homes from TV than I'm about cigarettes.

This requires a female's perspective. I'm not one, so I'm asking: If you didn't intend for this to be exposed, would you be wearing such a piece of art jewelry, particularly pierced as has been reported?

Well, well, it seems that CBS is owned by viacom which ownes blockbuster, which runs the PayPerView on DirecTV. So at least that mystery is solved. Anyone else know what PayPerView entities are owned by NBC, ABC, or Fox?

The fact that the show was put on by MTV should have been all the information you needed to knowIn my opinion, the performer lineup was all I needed to know and the TV was off during halftime. I knew it would be cRap and ganksta low life scum of the earth lowest denominator garbage.

Chairman Michael, get a life. I didn't watch much of the halftime show, I was more interested in the game, which was quite a good game. I think that Janet Jackson is very cute and appealing, albiet she looks like Michael with breasts (BRRRR).How could Michael Jackson with breasts be appealing?
If she flashed a little skin, perhaps it's not so appropriate but why should the FCC get involved.
Uhhh, maybe because that is the function of the agency?!?!
Chairman Michael, should we also burn all of the "bad" books?
A very sloppy slippery-slope argument. I have a five-year old daughter and a two-year old son, and would like to have them grow up in a world where at least during the presentation of a sporting event some class and dignity are maintained.
