Pepsi clawed its way to the No. 2 slot with a spot featuring a bear that disguises itself as a grizzled bear hunter to pass a check for Pepsi at a convenience store.

I guess it's just me why I thought this one was not that good, but who gets carded for Pepsi?(The end of the commercial shows the bear dressed up in clothes and the store clerk cards him).

He was carded because he slid a check across the counter to pay for the Pepsi.

The bear got carded for the check, not the Pepsi.

These people who grade commercials they only half-watched!

The bear had to produce ID because he was paying by check. How else would he pay?

The cashier was IDing him for a check, not the Pepsi...

but who gets carded for Pepsi?

Someone who writes a check for it. The bear had written a check.

The bear is not getting carded for Pepsi. He is providing ID for writing a check!
