Two more observations:

1) During the first rap song (was it "Diddy P"?), it seemed like every time the cameras went to a full-body shot, the guy would grab his crotch, and immediately the camera would switch back to his face. I think the producers were actually trying to avoid those moments, but the guy must have done the zipper-grab 20 times during his two-minute "song." So to give them credit, the producers had an impossible task.

2) We had closed-captions enabled on the TV, and at one point the lyrics became so raunchy that they stopped captioning them. It was if the captioners became disgusted, and just quit typing.

Sounds more like cat and mouse. If they really wanted to uphold thier "standards", they'd stop going back to the full shot after the second or third time (or would just show the band and crowd after the first - following a pre-show warning.)
