I think the fact that this world has become so twisted, that a message board like this is completely full of people whining because Janet Jackson’s breast was flashed on national television.

Even to suggest that JT should be thrown in jail because of this is a tragedy of the mind that you even worked your brain hard enough to come up with the courage to type it.

I may be young, but since the age of 16 I have marched on Canadian parliament to fight for something that's worth my breath. And I’ve also been successfully promoting in my area now for 4 years, and I know how these performers work.

They want you to do this. They LOVE the attention of all you people ogling over Janet Jackson’s breast. IT’S A BREAST. I think that if CBS throws a lawsuit on Jackson and Timberlake, CBS should be shut down for severe stupidity.

I live in Ontario. It's legal to be topless here. Are you all going to come here and complain because a 13 year old boy can see a piece of flesh? How about we go over to Africa and buy all the Tribal peoples clothing. We may just offend a wild monkey.

I think you should all be ashamed of yourself for even wasting the time of complaining. I hope that all the husband and wife teams that read this post are offended. I hope that all the little boys and girls of the world who saw that, know that a breast is a breast. They're going to see one soon enough anyway.

The world is coming to the point where lawyer’s offices are going to be placed on every corner, like Tim Horton’s are placed around here in Hamilton. And it's people like you that are going to keep them in business.

That’s my piece of mind. I hope it makes you realize just how close minded you really are.

By the way - to the VET - I was offended to the fact that KID ROCK would put a hole in an American Flag. The flag is not meant to be treated like that, especially with the troops overseas right now. If anything go after him. He offended the country.

You're new to the board, so I'll let you in on a little secret...

Americans don't care what Canadians think.

What you liberal minded Canadians don't get is that you go to bat for gays and porn and corrupt society. You fine people for speaking out against the degradation in society.
What is next may I ask to have a public rape of a woman or child. How far does it have to go before you draw the line. This affects and corrupts young minds that when they are older they have problems dealing with normal sexuality.
This has been shown over and again in studies that children that are exposed to sex at a young age tend to have abnormal sex lives,Are at higher risk for divorce, have higher risk of social behavioral problems, and have a higher percentage of psychological problems. So tell me how great the Canadians have it...Sounds like you are just asking to see your corrupt fantasy's to be portrayed to the moral people of the world. We don't all live in the gutter just because you and your country does.

So I can come in your living room and show my breast or simulate rape in front of you, your mother or your children without your knowledge? Is that correct and proper? It's not obscene, it's not proper. It's should not a halftime show. If we wanted a strip show and breast, I know were to go. If I want it on my TV, I'll switch over to Playboy, et al channels. I was not shock, but annoyance. My first though, here they go again.

I think you're missing the point of some folks distaste with what happened. They tuned in to see a FOOTBALL GAME, not a burlesque show. Is it not too much to ask for people to be able to share a major sporting event with their family without having their sensibilities offended without warning? I don't care if they match my sensibilities or not, there's a time and place for everything and this wasn't it.

I don't know whether the incident was planned as it happened or not. I can read Jason's and Janet's actions and reactions differently from video and stills depending on how I look at it. But I'll tell you this...I have a fair degree of experience with stage costumes and these things can happen during live shows. That's why you rehearse them to death, something they admit they didn't do. It is not out of the realm of the possible from the design of the costume that Jason grabbed "one layer too deep" before he yanked. But that isn't the point. The move should NEVER have been tried in the first place in that environment and under that degree of time pressure. If they didn't intend it they were asking for it.

Whether it makes sense for adults to be bugged by this is irrelevant. It was wholly inappropriate for family entertainment. especially during a football game. How would you feel if you were entertaining a bunch of kids with a hockey game and all of the sudden Celine Dion tears her top off at the end of the anthem (shudder!) and flashes the crowd. Don Cherry would have a bird. It's the same thing really.

Actually, and perhaps more to the point, I thought the whole halftime show was a mess. Why should we have to be subjected to a bunch of talentless gangsta wannabees grabbing their crotches during the Super Bowl? Why can't they fill the time with something a bit more relevant like, say, football commentary? The reactions you're seeing are from folks who watch this crap seep into every bit of life where we're supposed to be able to get away from it and if someone's offended, too bad. As if these entertainment yobs have anything to teach society about what is and isn't acceptable.

I was watching a football game and got treated to a sleaze show. Offended? Not particularly, but put off, you bet.

By the way, lest you think I'm posting from a "prudish jurisdiction," I'm right up the QEW in TO. Have a good one, eh!, and welcome.
