I remember when (back in the early 70's) I was proud to be an active member in the Sierra Club, not only enjoying it's many outdoor anventure trips but also helping with projects like building a trail and cleaning up a park, etc. Now I am hesitant to even mention the name, lest people think I am "green".

In the 70's, just out of the Army I too joined the Sierra Club and Ducks Unlimited (the other DU). I hope the record of my being a Sierra Club member for five years has been lost. I still give to DU.
