George Ryan is proof that the people of IL will vote Republican if they can be assured that the "Republican" they are voting for is not a "real Republican."

One gleeful little detail that the nominators of Ryan missed is that his "commercial licenses for $$" scam in the Secretary of State's office cost a family of six their lives in a collision with one of the drivers who had a bought license. Remarkable, how he identifies with murderers, having come indirectly close to being one himself. Indeed, the scandal arising from this is what produced the current investigation in which Ryan's been indicted.
