Americans who now buy their products won't be able to afford them. That's just it, people who scoff at those opposed to free trade policies as they currently exist aren't looking at long-term trends. With declining real wages there will be less consumer spending and ultimately less profits for manufacturers and retailers.

With declining real wages there will be less consumer spending.... So true. Now that I took early retirement, I account for every dollar, and my spending is way down. It's a different ballgame now. Don't depend on ME to spend the economy to prosperity.
