Lest we forget....thank you for posting these pictures. And millions of ostrich-citizens, including all the democrat candidates, refuse to believe there is a danger to us from these fanatics. UNBELIEVABLE! By the way, doesn't it warm the cockles of your heart to think that the Egyptian computer specialist, who is "totally dedicated" to Allah, may be working on a weapons system for one of our corporations who want to save a buck outsourcing their contracts with the Defense Dept.?

That's hysterical. I know you mean your indignance to be instructive and intelligent, but what are your credentials?

Have you ever worked in ANY engineering development environment?

Have you ever worked on the next level: a military contracted engineering development environment?

Can you explain how an evil group of Egyptian engineers sneaks in an "extra bogeyman" into say, a missile system, without it being noticed in development, test, or initial rollout? It ain't as simple as bringing box-cutters on an airliner.

Let's say you have a snippet of code that just turns the missile off on some muslim holy day or something to make a point. Where do you put it? In ROM? Sure. Ok. And do you figure that it's just up to one set of engineers to verify that his code gets into production with all the missiles? And you suppose they flight test it once and if it works, they just say "ok it's ready" and start manufacturing them, right? And when there's a failure for some other reason (rocet motor defect, for example) during flight test, or field test by the military training sessions, and a full tear-down failure analysis (machine autopsy) is done, you figure nobody would notice this strange little snippet/defect/anomaly?

Let me tell you something, there is no more chance of an outsourced Egyptian sabotaging a missile/aircraft/sub development program than there is of a pacifist Californian engineer sabotaging them to all harmlessly self-destruct. There certainly might be, as there have been, people in manufacturing in Arkansas or military personnel that sabotage the end product in onesy-twosy cases (like the Sgt (?) rolling a grenade into a command tent,) but you can't just tweak an entire DESIGN. It doesn't work like that!!!

You know, it's people like you that gloss over the real engineering difficulties in making a missile or satellite actually work that advise Hollywood on making movies. Like Jeff Goldblum "uploading a virus" into an alien ship. No worries about anything technical, just apply your preconceptions about outsourcing to something you know NOTHING about, and then assume everyone else at Lockheed is not concerned about defending this country. Screw you.
