This is what I've determined to do and am doing. I am contributing money to Republican candidates in close but winnable congressonal races both in and out of my own state; I am assisting directly with one House race.

May I suggest FReepers do the same? Do not contribute to or support congressional campaigns that are really not contestable. Support the razor-thin contests where a little additional money for the conservative candidate might tip or keep the balance in favor of the conservative. Begin by looking at races in your own states, but also look nationally. Encourage friends, family, and associates to do the same.

Do not waste money or support on symbolic third-party candidates.

I will send no money to assist Bush in his reelection bid. I will not vote for him in November.

If Kerry or some other Democrat dimbulb gets elected, I will be pushing the Republican-controlled Congress hard to tie him up so tight he can't breathe. We will essentially have NO president for four years--just a caretaker.

I have found that individual members of Congress are far easier to pressure to do the right thing than Bush and Rove are.

The last and perhaps most important part of the strategy is immediately to search out an electable conservative to groom and support for the 2008 presidential election run. That may be Governor Owens of Colorado. It is not Rudy Guiliani. He belongs in the Senate where his liberal tendencies can be moderated.

An imprortant lesson needs to be learned from the last two primaries. The demoncrats are voting in record numbers. While there are now more registered Republicans, if they don't vote, it is academic.

The demoncrats are motivated to do anything and will run anyone, to get President Bush out of the Whitehouse. One Republican not voting due to apathy doubles the effect of a vengeful demoncrat who votes.

Rather than throw in the towel, conservatives might throw their effort into the campaigns of conservative candidates for the House and Senate, and for the state legislatures and county commissions.

This statement is excellent, and I appreciate your highlighting it. If a conservative's disappointment with President Bush won't allow him to support the president, he should find another conservative at some level to support. I'm disappointed with President Bush on a couple of issues and discouraged on others. I don't know whether I'll be an enthusiastic supporter of him through the campaign. I don't want to harm him, but I probably won't do much to help him. However, I'm going to find other races where I can enthusiastically support conservative Republicans. I'll give money in those races and try to volunteer for the campaigns. Republicans need help at every level anyway, and plenty of people will volunteer for the presidential campaign because they are drawn to the high profile of that campaign.

The global socialist agenda moved into high gear after the fall of the Berlin Wall, aided dramatically by the progressive Democrats in the United States. The Bush election in 2000 disrupted that agenda, and to them, nothing is more important than removing the Bush obstacle. Lamb seems to believe that re-electing Bush will further the conservative cause and help us overcome the intractability of ingrained socialists. I am not convinced of this. I believe voting for Bush will slow the slide to socialism, but the course is still the same.

Some republicans worry about being taken for GRANTED by their party. As much a perception as a reality. Of one thing republicans can be absolutely sure, they most definitely will be COMPLETELY IGNORED by the RAT party and branches thereof. George Bush cannot accomplish in one term or in a lifetime, the wish list of each and every voter. Some who claim to represent the religious right have declared they will sit home if he doesn't produce for them. Some conservatives are so self-absorbed they vow to do the same. If all of the self-indulgent groups succeed in placing the communist, socialist RATs in control of America, they do so at their own peril. I have to say that I am very disappointed in Bush. I sent him money for his first presidential campaign ($1000). However, I have no intentions of sending him any money for this one. I will be going to the polls for the next election but I probably won't be casting a vote for a presidential candidate. I could change my mind between now and then but these are my current plans. A number of my conservative friends have similar feelings about Bush.

I find it very interesting how many liberals despise Bush. If I were liberal, I'd be absolutely delighted with the guy.
