It's not Bush. It's the Congress. Because the Constitution says so.

It looks like Conservatives have a tendency to cut and run and dilute their own power when they don't get everything they want, when they want it. Right flight gives hope the the Liberals.

Before we shoot, we have to find the target.

The Constitution told us who the target is.

Let the president conduct foreign policy and the military as the Founders intended. Few here have any objection to that. Let him veto or advocate anything he wants as is his duty.

But Congress is the legitimate target on this spending. No need even to fight over Bush. He isn't the one with the power to accomplish his objectives. Congress is. Congress is writing the hot checks. The Constitution says so.

Don't let Rove distract you by turning it into a fight about Bush. Bush is irrelevant to the real fight.
