Right. Wouldn't want to learn anything substantive about the guy. Maybe a passing mention to what we might expect from him on the job? Naaaah.

One wonders where Duyba's three piece set was when Miguel Estrada was twisting in the wind. I'd be more interested in stories from Janice Brown, Miguel Estrada, and such as.

There have been TONS of threads related to him here. Do you pay attention, or just knee-jerk whenever you see 10 words together that rub you the wrong way?
We've already learned, as well, that this caterwauling is nothing more than liberal hysterics. Funny how all the black folks in his home town like him just fine.
We also learned from this thread/article, how he's a pretty grounded person, even in light of all the recent chaos.
Did you have anything worthwhile to offer, or did your anti-estrogen spray simply wear off?

How about honesty, integrity, Godly decisions. I guess things like that don't matter to someone like you. I suppose you would
prefer a Clinton appointee or better yet a Dean or Kerry puppet.
How did the "ster" get dropped off your screen name.
Why don't you ease on back over to LP or DU with your friends
and comrades.

"his cyprus farmhouse"
He has a farmhouse on Cyprus?
In the South, folks with a second grade education usually spell it cypress. Wonder what happened to Julie?

"Wouldn't want to learn anything substantive about the guy. There are many threads on his past, as well as his present. As far as what we might expect from him on the job, I expect him to perform as he always has. He will follow the rule of law, and won't legislate from the bench.

"I'd be more interested in stories from Janice Brown, Miguel Estrada, and such as" I'm not sure about Estrada, but Brown, Owen, and the others didn't want a recess appointment. They are young, still, and were facing, quite possibly, only until the next Congress convenes in that job. If not confirmed by the new Congress, they would be off the bench entirely. Pickering is close to retirement, and if not confirmed by the next Congress in '05, he will retire. The others didn't want to give up the bench, just yet.

"How much weight does he give stare decesis versus the need to undo bad caselaw?"I don't have the time to do your research for you. Why don't you google him for the answer to your questions? Or, is it more fun to be the thread contrarian?
