The 'skinny' now is that he weight 258 pounds when he died and had heart trouble. Just be careful.

See my #284. His weight gain was related to a viral heart condition that was not diet related. But since that doesn't fit the agenda of the anti-Atkins crowd, they just trumpet about the heart condition and the weight, attempting to imply that the diet was the cause.

I'm not particulary anti-Atkins, but just want people to be careful. Get checkups, blood work, etc. to be sure you aren't doing anything to yourself that you shouldn't. My best friend's cholesterol actually went up when she was on the diet and she quit. Not everybody's body can take this kind of diet.
