Not a country fan, but I dug the Rascal Flats hit song a little. Judd's comments were funny.

Never heard of Rascal Flatts but may have to go somewheres on this vast net and see if there are some samples to listen to.

Cletus T. Judd cracks me up, but then I've always loved parody singers like Weird Al. However, Ray Stevens is the king!

When the Dixie Chicks made their dastardly pronouncement in London I had just purchased thousands of dollars of advertising on the local country station. I called them up, and said I was done if they continued playing their music. I think others complained also, because they did quit the Chicks for a while. The station subsequently made the decision to put them back on, without telling me.

I wrote them, telling them I could not in good conscience continue advertising with them, and cut them off again. I recently succumbed, as I felt it was hurting my business, the point had been made, and the people I was dealing with were local, and just victims of the corporate culture of Clear Channel. They sent me a CD of Rascal Flats which I haven't played yet, now I know why they sent it to me.

It unnerves me to see the Country stations on cable and the radio playing the Dixie Chicks. I'm constantly changing stations as soon as I see or hear them. I'm disappointed at the direction today's Country music is going. You got Shania Twain, a Canadian, living in Switzerland, married to an African (from South Africa) at the top of the female country charts. You got Kenny Chesney living in the Carribean, wearing beads and acting like a white rastafarian. Even Willie Nelson is taking shots at the President. Thank God for the staples like Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels, Darryl Worley, et al.
