thats is totally INCORRECT and continues to showcase the economic ignorance that exists here. Gold loses value in deflation that is why gold was selling for $250 an ounce back in the late 90s and gains value in inflation and that is why it was $800 per ounce in 1980. The currency of choice is CURRENCY during deflation. This statment makes me suspect many here dont know what deflation is. If prices fall, the consequently, money gains in value.
