His Medicare expansion was just about the only thing I knew about in 2000 that I disagreed with. If amnesty for illegals, excessive non-defense spending, and CFR had been on his platform back then, he'd not be President today.

If amnesty for illegals, excessive non-defense spending, and CFR had been on his platform back then, he'd not be President today.Bush isn't proposing amnesty but during the campaign he did promise to deal with the illegal alien problem by providing work visas for same. I didn't agree with it then and I don't now but to say he didn't run on it is not true.
He also stated repeatedly that he would sign CFR if it came to his desk. I vehemently disagreed with him on that then and am still pissed off about it now.
Like me, you can disagree with Bush but you can't claim he lied or did not mention these things because he did.
