EV, have you noticed that many people run for the House, or for state or local offices first, then run for Senate after they've built up a record and some name recognition?

LOL...funny. The guy had a Harvard Ph.d, had spent years working in the State Department, and had been a US ambassador.

Besides that, some of the best Congressional candidates held no prior office.

However, your statement seems to confirm that he didn't really expect to win.

Who cares what he expected? At least he had the courage to try. Maybe you need to go read that wonderful TR quote about those who are in the arena, and critics.

That quote could as easily apply to Alan Keyes' criticisms of the administration.
