Your comments are offensive, as well as being utterly wrong. He happens to have roots going back generations in a state that is still very liberal. That he couldn't break that grip by running for the Senate twice is, or shouldn't be, a detriment to his reputation as a statesman with any fairminded thinking person.

Your attempt to make something dirty out of fundraising for the furtherance of the things he believes in is hypocritical as well. Do you hold the President to the same stupid standard? How about every other individual in government or the political arena? What balderdash.

EV, have you noticed that many people run for the House, or for state or local offices first, then run for Senate after they've built up a record and some name recognition?

However, your statement seems to confirm that he didn't really expect to win.
