Fraud!?! Why, you... right, I'm breaking out the ball.
Amelia...Amelia.. the clouds are swirling, but I can only see ...twenty-four hours, ahead. Dang Wal-Mart crystal ball! I guess Saturday night is as far as we can go. Amelia...Amelia...cats. I'm seeing cats...one, incontinent. A bottle of wine...the phone's not ringing. It never rings, on Saturday night. That's sad. A DVD of Sleepless In Seattle, sheesh, hasn't that baby seen some use! You're...logging onto FR. All men must pay, for your humiliation! What..man, of principle....will you criticise, tonight? Keyes? Moore? McClintock? Ah, the clouds close in. Oh, well. Don't thank me, and no charge. The all-seeing eye of Byron the Great needs no plaudits, to work its magic.

Maybe you need to go read that wonderful TR quote about those who are in the arena, and critics. That quote could as easily apply to Alan Keyes' criticisms of the administration.

That's sad.The cats live next door...The phone is blessedly silent on Friday and Saturday nights most of the time, because the kids are out on dates, and their friends aren't calling all evening...but they're all home now, and I can stop waiting up and go to bed.
Thanks for helping me stay awake! Night-night, By!

That quote could as easily apply to Alan Keyes' criticisms of the administration. It could, except that his criticisms are valid, and come from a man who is every bit as much 'in the arena' as any American, or any individual that is in the Administration.

I side with our constitution, bud... Not in this case. You have chosen to side with the ACLU and their fellow travelers, who are hellbent for leather to undermine the foundations of America.
Is it because you are a God-hater like them?
To: EternalVigilance
Was CPAC pretty much all "Bush is bad" this year?
To: TigersEye
And you fancy yourself as being 'correct'. -- Dontcha.

ACLU? Get as grip on some new material.
And your 'god hating' religious attack is out of line. Take it to the back, or back off.

Was CPAC pretty much all "Bush is bad" this year? No.
The tone was almost exactly what I hear across the country from CA to IA to DC to TX from most of the Republicans I talk to:
A) Support for the President's reelection, and belief in his basic decency as an individual.
B) Hardcore opposition to the RATs.
C) Satisfaction with the conduct of the War on Terrorism.
D) Continued disatisfaction with many domestic policies of the administration, particularly immigration, spending, and the President's failure to wield the veto pen to rein in same, or to fully use the awesome power of the bully pulpit to forward a conservative agenda.
E) Frustration at the many examples of the White House political operations using their power to favor 'moderate' to liberal candidates over conservatives within the GOP.
To: tpaine
I asked you your motivation for allying yourself with the ACLUs attack on the two century old traditions of our republic. If that isn't your motivation, you have no need to be so touchy.

What an immature response on your part. You, like most of those who mindlessly attack Keyes and Moore, don't bother to debate honestly or to focus on the true principles that are at issue.
Why something that was just dandy in this country for centuries is now verboten because the ACLU and you can't read the simple words of the First Amendment, or look dispassionately at original intent or history is for you to answer, if you ever have the courage.
To: Byron_the_Aussie
"Decide who you are! Decide what you will stand for--because, if you'll stand for all of this, then in the end this nation will fall. Sorry Mr. Keyes but many have already made their decision and the fall of this nation comes second to winning the election for the less of two evils. Kerry or Kerry light, fastest descent or fast descent, take your pick. All the rhetoric in the world doesn't change the end result of either party at this time. I'll take my stand for the truth and I believe many will echo Keyes sentiment for we have no other choice as free men. Our liberty wasn't bought this cheaply.
To: tpaine
With the clear understanding that the supremacy clause & the 14th both say the States are bound to honor the US Constitution & BOR's. It is ludicrous to see a major political figure like Keyes claim that states are free violate our individual rights. -- I'd like to see him defend the CA assault weapon prohibition on this basis, for instance.. You, of all people, would promote the expansive Fed power that led to gun control and the WOD? I can't believe it...
