I also have little use for Sabbah just as I have little use for some AmChurch prelates like Los Angeles's Roger Cardinal Mahoney. I also favor Israel in its tussles with the despicable criminals who try to besiege Israel and think of Sharon as a moderate who ought to really unleash his forces.

That having been said, you will have to do better than a photo, a time reference and simultaneous innocent Jewish blood flowing in the streets. John Paul II met with soviet bosses on several occasions. That did not make him responsible for the gulag or for the Iron Curtain. American Catholics surely are. There are some exceptions but by and large European and Middle East Catholics are not friends of Israel. Those Catholic leaders buy into Muslim lies and so do their congregations. There are some exceptions but Euro-Catholics are not at all understanding of Israel, that they are up against Muhammad inspired barbarians.

Maronite Catholics (Lebanon) can be an exception in the Middle East. Israel defended them for years and they fought Arafat too, to get his mafia evicted from Lebanon.
