Great article ,John!I love landslide Kerry's numbers.

In all fairness to Kay I must say the papers have slanted his statements.I just finished listening to his testimony before a Senate Committee.

He left Levin spinning. He said he believed before the war that Saddam had stockpiles of WMD,the French, the Germans, the Brits believed it ,too.He thinks the Iraqi scientists were taking the money for programs they couldn't deliver on.

He blames too much dependence on UN reports. He refuted Kennedy's claim that "the administration" had manipulated the intelligence and pressured the intelligence community.

He said he had conducted interviews and nowhere did he find pressure was applied. He said it was possible we could find WMD but saw no evidence that they had large stockpiles.

He thinks Iraq was falling apart and the sale of WMD expertise(and they did know how to build nuclear bombs, just didn't have the ability to create fissionable material) was a very likely and clear and present danger. He is glad we went to war.Saddam was gathering and serious threat.

Levin was really spinning Cohen's 5 lb sack he carried around indicating how small an anthrax pile could be.Levin said Cohen never indicated Iraq had it,but agreed to look it up.

Let's Talk About It!

Read: Matthew 18:15-20

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. —Proverbs 3:3

Bible In One Year: Exodus 21-22; Matthew 19

The police in San Diego received complaints from a woman who said she was getting annoying phone calls. In the middle of the night a person would phone her, bark like a dog, and then hang up. Police eventually discovered that the source of the calls was a neighbor. He said that whenever he was awakened by the barking of her dog, he wanted to make sure she was awake too.

The neighbor's approach certainly didn't express the wisdom of God. The Scriptures tell us that it is often necessary to face a problem head-on (Matthew 18:15-20). At the right time and for the sake of all parties involved, an honest discussion is part of the solution.

Yet such a loving, open approach is not usually followed among Christians. Rather than trusting God and walking into a tense situation with a clear conscience and a desire for peace, we tend to play games. Hints are dropped. Affection is withheld. Conversation is abbreviated. The air gets chilly, and ice forms around a situation that can only be melted by a wise combination of mercy and truth (Proverbs 3:3).

Our complaints against others cannot be smoothed over by burying our anger. If a problem is not small enough to overlook graciously, then let's talk about it. —Mart De Haan

If you can't forgive a brother
For the wrong he's done to you,
Go to him and talk it over—
That's the Christian thing to do. —D. De Haan

The best way to destroy your enemy is to make him your friend.

This is so true. At work, I had someone make some very serious and very untrue allegations against me last year. I prayed to God daily to Bless this person because He teaches us to bless our enemies.

This past November, she came to me and bared her soul and asked me to forgive her. I was absolutely shocked! At the end of our discussion, we hugged and have been at peace ever since.

God is good - He answers our prayers, especially when we do His bidding.

Wow, thanks for that humbling reminder. I can think of a person (or two or three) for whom I need to pray in that manner!

A good but chilly morning to all!

Got here early to start my day with the wisdom of JH2....who never disappoints!

BRAVO for another winner!

This morning I heard Imus & Newsweak's Fineman discussing how Kerry can win without taking any Southern states if he can win the presidency W VA & NH.....they were gushing over his 'strong & interesting wife' and attractive kids.....clearly 'shilling for Kerry'......UGH!

Bumper sticker seen in NH:

DATED DEAN, MARRIED KERRY; WOKE UP WITH BUSH!

Iowa, Dean quickly lost favor, his polls in New Hampshire dropping like Michael Jackson's pants at the sight of a crib.

Thanks for that spewing-coffee-all-over-the-monitor image!

That is so nice to hear.. We live by example.

Walk by Faith and not by sight....

I'll be back, gotta go put a windsheild in my van.
When I lost my job in Nov had to put my old van back on the road.
I have been driving around for 3 months without an inspection sticker
cause my windsheild has cracks in it.
We finally scraped together enough cash to do it now.

life is different when you don't have a job..
