But it raises an additional concern to me, which is that this wasn't a priority. You know, if you have a real priority, you figure out how to meet that priority.
And I think that the administration's decision to divert resources and personnel speaks volumes about what they really thought was at stake. There it is right there. Military command felt it necessary to shift personnel from WMD search to security duties in order to protect lives in a hostile unstable environment. She questions that priority. Lives are secondary; political ass covering is primary.
She is trying to fault the administration for not being as venal as she is not to mention she believes the President is micro-managing decisions on the ground there because she would.

I distinctly remember hearing family members of civilian casualties say that as sad as it was to lose a family member, it was still better than having Saddam stay in power.
To: mvpel
Nevermind the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who lost their lives under Saddam and wound up piled in mass graves around the country still wearing blindfolds

Kay was too polite to Hillary. He should have mentioned that her concerns about having enough resources was due to her husbands gutting of the intelligence depts Politically correct hiring allowed the 911 tragedy bump.

I'm watching part of it now .. and you are so right. Kay had Levin spitting and sputtering and backtracking .. it was so funny .. and all the time Kay had this little smirk on his face.
Then earlier I saw a video on FOX with Kay testifying and it showed 3 senators and 1 of them was Hillary. She was slumped down in her seat .. with her hands folded across her middle .. and she had the most disgusted look on her face. Her body language said many things .. first it said that she was not happy to be there .. and she was not happy to find out there was nothing to bash Bush about .. although I am confident she will have her mouth pieces out there saying all kinds of stupid stuff.
Of course, she might also have been upset because of the news out of Florida. The SAO has been hit with ethics charges from Landmark Legal, because he tried to deceive Roy Black by telling Roy that the Florida Bar and the FL-AG had said it was okay for the SAO to release the letters about the "plea". Both the FL bar and the FL-AG have denied publically that they told the SAO to release the documents. It's a massive CYA in Florida .. Go get 'em Rush!!

Democrats ignore the fact that the UN gave the United States the authority to use force through a series of resolutions, starting in 1998. They've only begun to hammer away at Bush because Bush succeeded in toppling the Saddam regime. Going where no Clinton could go before.

Why is it that when liberals gives the answer "why aren't we going after x, y, and z countries?" nobody asks what country they want us to invade next. We can only invade one at a time and we are almost done with Iraq so who do they think should be next on the sh!t list?

If Elvis was still alive, he'd shoot the television. How can there simultaneously be a Hillary the Hawk and this sort of cheapshot equivocation. We could have accomplished the same thing without the loss of life?? In the last six months, when she again and again strayed from her war support, the media would call her on it. Somehow, these people think they can be both this and that. I think the liberal mind thrives on that sort of thing.

Thanks
It's always nice to have the Hilldabeast on record when she goes off her rocker.
To: tallhappy
KAY: Well, Senator Clinton, let me just add to that...I don't think the record is necessarily better than we thought with regard to getting the final truth, because of the power of the terrorist state that Saddam Hussein had.CLINTON:Thank You.
I'm glad he was able to get the last word in on the mighty wretched one.

CLINTON: And of course, my time has expired, but I think that rightly does raise questions that we should be examining about whether or not the U.N. inspection process pursuant to 1441 might not also have worked without the loss of life that we have confronted both among our own young men and women, as well as Iraqis. ... "without lost of life", huh, hitlery ?? You should know about putting lives at risk.
Well ! Not a lot of days I get more than one opportunity to post this ...

I guess, to Hillary, Iraqi lives don't count. How many more people would Saddam have murdered, if he had stayed in power? Apparently the mass graves made no impression on Hillary.
To: FairOpinion
Yep. To her, it's all about media exposure and how to gain political power.
That is all she cares about.
