BELGRADE -- Tuesday – Police in Serbia have questioned 65 people in connection with a mass grave on the outskirts of Belgrade, B92 learns from the office of the war crimes prosecutor.

The individuals have been interrogated as part of a preliminary criminal investigation, while 44 of 88 potential witnesses have also been interviewed.

According to information seen by B92, so far the remains of 707 ethnic Albanian victims have been exhumed from the mass grave on a police training ground in Batajnica.

The remains of 186 corpses have been identified, and 120 returned to relatives in Kosovo.

The Batajnica mass grave is one of several cases being investigated by Serbia’s war crimes prosecutor, who was appointed in July last year.

when was the "temporary ban" lifted?
RESOLUTION 343

"Death to Fascism - freedom for the people!

The Official Gazette of Democratic Federative Yugoslavia

Resolutions of the National Committee for the Liberation of Yugoslavia - 153

The temporary ban on the return of colonists to their former place of residence

Recently it has been observed that, without the approval of the people`s authorities, the families of colonists (settlers) have been returning to and moving back to places where they were earlier settled, in Macedonia, Kosovo, Metohia, Srem and Vojvodina.

Since this brings harm to the colonists themselves because it exposes them to difficulties and unnecessary expense and since the conditions for their return to their earlier place of residence are still not met, with regard
to all of the foregoing and in order to save the settlers a wasted journey and unnecessary expense

I have resolved

1. that the return of colonists to their previous place of abode be temporarily not permitted, that they stay where they are now and that the National Liberation Committees will continue to offer them every assistance;

2. since the issue will be decided by special decree, those concerned will be promptly informed as to who can move to which area and when.

No. 343, March 5th 1945, Belgrade

Commissar of Internal Affairs Vlada Zecevic"

>>>>>>2. since the issue will be decided by special decree, those concerned will be promptly informed as to who can move to which area and when.<<<<

This decree of Tito's Communist government remained in power until NATO occupied Kosovo . So called "nationalist' milosevic did not bother to revoke it because he gave no hoot about Serb national interests.

But this decree is only one half of Catch 22.

Communists issued ANOTHER decree that requested from owners to claim their real estate property until 1946. Yet, the first decree forbade owners to return back to place of residence.

Tito's Communists were doing it deliberatelly, not by mistake because Tito wanted to unify Albania and Yugoslavia and give Serb land to Shqiptars as incentive to join him. As a result, Shqiptars, citizens of Albania flocked into Kosovo. Hundreds ofg thousands of them.

Today, NATO enforces decree of Communist dictator Tito and tramples on property rights of the rightful owners.

The real issue here is: why NATO enforce this practice that would be illegal anywhere in the world?

Didn't Tito promise to be the godfather or reward in some way the 10th child born to Albanian parents in Kosovo? He obviously wanted them to breed and was giving them incentives. Did he do this for Macedonian Albanians or just Kosovo Albanians?

DTA, thank you. Disgusting to find ourselves aligned with the contiguous "Liberation of Yugoslavia" policy. Serbs retract to nationalism in response to our form of freedom & justice for all...shock! Our basic principals are negated & contortionist lies are exposed 'round the world.

Why? Long term influence, trade, 'cause we could?

Joan, wasn't there a gov request for each woman to give birth to ?6 children? Don't remember the details.
