Huck, he's STILL testifying and he's modified his statement over and over.
You grabbed the first sentence you heard and ran with it.

Hillary was trying to shift blame away from the the fact that her husband also thought that Saddam possessed WMDs. Hillary was trying to claim that it was her husband's efforts that forced Saddam to end his WMD program. That would make NO difference in the fact that Clinton has continued to proclaim the Saddam did have WMDs when Clinton left office.
This is such a political witch hunt. The problem is that the witches are doing the hunting.

"You have been treated to FR's best minds on the subject."
And, what pray tell is the "great collective" conclusions on the subject. Please keep it simple for the less-gifted (unwashed masses) in the peanut gallery.
Where have all the WMDs gone - gone to flowers every one?
To: Huck
Our intell was all wrong? Kay said Saddamn did NOT have programs?
To: cyncooper
Roberts blasted a hole right between the eyes of the Libs.

Amazing--Dayton asks whether all WMD are alike. Reasonable question, especially from a 'Rat.

If the intel says the WMD were in X, Y, Z place and now it's not there, it is easy to believe it may have been moved. Iraq is famous for moving stuff - going out the back door when the UN was at the front door. And you think this never occurred to Kay or his team? When he says the intel was all wrong, you think he's overlooking evasive measures Iraq might have taken? Golly, if you're right, then this whole thing is a waste of time! Why have inspectors then? No, I don't believe that. You can believe what you want, you can hold out hope that WMD will be found somewhere (why do you hope that?), but I think Kay was pretty plain.
So why do you hope so much that WMD will be found? Or why is it so hard to accept that the intel may have been dead wrong? If the war was justified regardless of the WMD, then what's the difference? Why resist the plain words of Kay's testimony?

He also meant that it wasn't just our intel, he mentioned France, Germany and England's!!! And he also mentioned the UN's intel....so, if all of the world agreed he had weapons, then how was President Bush suppose to say no, the world is wrong, and he doesn't have them! Clinton said no once, but several times!
To make this a potical issue is sick!!!! This is a national secuity issue! And the democrats don't care, they want their pound of flesh from Bush and nothing else will do.
To: cyncooper
Would Kay the financial advisor still be employed by Reed? Probably not. Bush hasn't taken any action, yet, on this. That's what people want to see. Bring in Rudy to run the CIA.

You're right, the Dems are trying to get a statement from Kay that they can spin to indicate Bush's culpability. Kay is enjoying the verbal sparring.

Because it was one sentence, which he has back quite far away from.
Why are you focusing on ONE sentence? Don't bother answering. I know the answer.

Dayton (D)from Minn asks about weapon definition:
Kay: Mass disruption vs Mass destruction. Email virus can equal disruption.
Dayton: Which WMDs qualify as truly mass destruction.
Kay: Nuclear in its own category. Revolution of biology we will have a blurring of capabilities.
I sought out your post since you questioned this. Also, you may not know that Kay has stated missile production was in fact up and running in Iraq until we went in)

That's very disrespectful. Please refer to the obese, drunken, Kopechne-killing Senator by his full title. Thank you.OK, Jabba The Drunk is up. How's that?

yes, he did apologize for that one.
To: Jewels1091
Yes, he said "we all" were wrong. It's a STUNNING piece of testimony, for those willing to accept it. He also praised the President for hiring him and letting him freely act and report. Funny that many of the President's ardent supporters here apparantly don't share the President's taste for the FACTS.

" Before the war, the Washington Post wrote an article that approx. 5,000 Iraqis were dying from malnutrition and lack of medical care due to the oil for food program. " That's an excellent point, but please clarify: 5,000/day? 5,000/month? 5,00/hour? 5,000/decade?

Funny that many of the President's ardent supporters here apparantly don't share the President's taste for the FACTS. I imagine the president knows ALL the facts, unlike you who is stuck on ONE DAMN SENTENCE.
I'm trying to listen to ALL of Kay's testimony, unlike you. He didn't issue a one sentence statement.
You've backed yourself into a corner and now are going to try and insult us all.

Dayton is actually making sense. He is more concerned about the security of our nation than partisan politics. Refreshing.
