Fox News has the following on their website in the article entitled "Kay: We Were All Wrong." It quotes WV senator Jay Rockefeller addressing the Senate Armed Services Committee either yesterday or today:
"Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., said: "It's a quandary. We're at war and people are dying every day. We went to war on the presumption that we were going to be attacked very soon if we didn't do something and the reign of terror would come from weapons of mass destruction. I'm still in search of those weapons of mass destruction."
This is the second time I've seen Rockefeller insist that the threat from Iraq was imminent (he himself saying that, not claiming that President Bush 'misled' us by making the claim). So, apparently, this Democrat senator is the only one with that belief; will someone inform Dean, Kerry, Edwards, and Clark so they can shut up already?
On the small vs. large issue: Seems to me that when one is looking down the barrel of a gun, the caliber really doesn't much matter.

Bump for later. My darn work is getting in the way of my life!

This woman should not be allowed outdoors, let alone public office.!!
To: Peach
I heard him say we need to keep looking. But I also heard him say WE WERE ALL WRONG. The two facts are not irreconcilable.

Hitlery asked Kay if the UN couldn't have done the job if they were allowed to continue. Any idiot could answer no to that you dumb sow ( that is the nice version ).

Before the war, the Washington Post wrote an article that approx. 5,000 Iraqis were dying from malnutrition and lack of medical care due to the oil for food program.
I wish Kay had mentioned that article and that humanitarian organizations said the #'s may actually be far higher.
That would put to BED Hitlery's statement that the inspection process was killing fewer people than the war.

David Kay just made Senator Kennedy look (and sound) like the petty, partisan Democratic fool that he is. Hillary et al, too.
Bush will have no problem getting reelected against any Democrat, with this sort of idiotic Democratic sour grapes and pettiness on frequent display.
The focus should be on the intelligence failures, and they're flailing to point it at the President.
It just doesn't wash, and this asinine behaviour from the Democrats shows their true colors.

The inspections were working? Oh, really, Hillie? Then what were those sat photos depicting when they showed trucks going out the back door as inspectors went in the front? Inquiring minds want to know...
To: All
Why dont they get the entire Clinton administration back on the Capitol Hill and ask why did they enforce the Torreceli law which prevented us from having real human intel. Why did they refuse to apprehend Bin Laden when Sudan offered him to us. Why did they failed to do a real follow up after TWA 800. 8 years of failure to react to true foreign terrorist threats, and some people are ready to give the WH back to the dems.

He didn't just say we need to keep looking. Sheesh - talk about misrepresenting what was said.
He said WE COULD STILL FIND WMD.
That WOULD make his statement that we were "all wrong", all wrong.
