I consider it my duty as a United States citizen get out there and vote for the candidate I feel is best. That might seem like a battered wife syndrome type of thing - but I assure you it is not. I am from Minnesota where our vote does not matter in the grand scheme of things. We simply do not have enough electoral votes in my state to tip things one way or the other. We can't do anything BUT make a statement with our vote and we're not likely to give that up too. So battered wife syndrome really doesn't apply in Minnesota. To give you an example, Minnesota has traditionally voted democrat (not to include me of course). In the last presidential election Minnesota voted republican. Now is that making a statement or what? I think so.
