You are quite the wild-card.
Did you know that the University of Pittsburgh has long been one of the best Philosophy departments in the world?
I have read Durant's History of Philosophy though he is not a ranked Philosopher.
As I understand it you have lost both your parents by suicide so you of all people should know that life is not a rose garden and frankly I am surprised by your harsh criticisms.
"he would make an attempt now to use a little less ridicule and more persuasion."- ridicule is a weapon first used by the Left and is what they respond to best, that we have learned.
Rush is a target because of his power and ours and not because he has not learned to "mediate".

Will do. And believe me when I say you inherited that mediation skill.

I don't quite know where to start. So I'll start at the beginning.
You are quite the wild-card. -- I have absolutely no idea what that means here. I hope you don't mean that I'm a joker (wild card), because that would mean that you are much less than an 'ace'.
Did you know that the University of Pittsburgh has long been one of the best Philosophy departments in the world? -- yes.
I have read Durant's History of Philosophy though he is not a ranked Philosopher.
I don't know why you are telling me this. Are you referring to Durant's multiple book compilation, "The History of Civilization"? What are you referring to and why are you? BTW, who is ranking your philosophers for you?
As I understand it you have lost both your parents by suicide so you of all people should know that life is not a rose garden and frankly I am surprised by your harsh criticisms. -- ........... About what "harsh criticism" are you surprised? Who is receiving "harsh criticism" from me? Is it "harsh criticism" of Rush Limbaugh to suggest that he is not the man George Washington was? I don't think so, and any reasonable person would know that. You may need a few more clues.
Rush is a target because of his power and ours and not because he has not learned to "mediate". -- You are missing the point, and I haven't the time to try to explain it to you further.
Go ahead and adore Rush as he is. That's fine with me. Just remember, Rush would be much less vilified and less of a target if he hadn't had such a confrontational and insulting way of approaching his supposed enemies. He's a good guy, but remains a man who needs to grow up some. Then again, who isn't?

Rush is a target because of his power and ours and not because he has not learned to "mediate". Indeed. He's threatening to those on the Left by giving a voice to those who disagree with them.
Your post caused me to be curious enough to click on your screen name to take a look at your Profile Page. Two things: I love your...

This is pathetic and does not belong in News.,
Read Russell Kirk first.Then,seek help.
You seek help, you bitter, jealous maroon. Rush Limbaugh loved it!

"Apparently you didn't listen enough, because he has mentioned his back problems over the years. I used to listen to Rush every single day and not miss a minute of the show. If I couldn't listen to the whole show, I'd tape it. I did that for about eight years. The past few years I've listened a bit less, but not much. I might miss an hour every week or so. I'm a major Rush addict, no pun intended.
He most definitely has mentioned his back problems. Take it from someone who HAS listened to him for eleven years."
Thanks for your vigorous defense of Rush. I really appreciated it that day, and I don't believe I ever said thank you. So, thank you so very much, ma'am. :)

"It really IS mind-boggling to see the level of hostility directed at Rush, his friends, and fans. It's similar to what has been directed at FReeps who won't criticize Jim or FR. How many years have we been known as FR "cultists"? Plenty.
I cringed when Rush went through the whole "going freeper" on him period, posted graphics mocking us, and hadn't a kind word to say about FR.
Like you I question why people seem eager to incite more of the same. He's not the enemy, and neither are we."
I'm gonna change all of that.

"Congratulations on being recognized for what you wrote here at FR. You do speak for scores of people--thanks!"
I don't think I ever thanked you. So thank you for your vigorous defense of the essay and your wonderful comments. I certainly didn't deserve them.

"How absolutely excellent, Chris - words both written and spoken!! I heard you on Rush today, and I heard what Rush said to you. The personalization of his comments to you are rare enough to know for a fact that he was genuinely touched by what you wrote."
I don't think I ever thanked you for your comments. So thank you. I really appreciated them that day.

I never could see the EIB microphone. It was far too dark.

Serious in my thank you. Yes. I just thought I was being rude by not thanking you and I went back and read the thread and didn't see that I did. Just trying to be cordial.

I agree with you. Rush's true character is proven in his actions not his words. Wake up America! This is a hypocrite of all hypocrites and he is ruining the reputation of the Conservatives.
