New 9/11 audio is being released today played at the 9/11 Commission hearing. Flight attendant Betty Ong calling the American Airlines reservation desk regarding the hijackers taking over American Airlines Flight 11 Boeing 767, before it struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

Quran tells Muslims to kill the disbelievers wherever they find them (Q. 2:191), to murder them and treat them harshly (Q. 9:123), slay them (Q. 9: 5), fight with them, (Q. 8: 65 ) even if they are Christians and Jews, humiliate them and impose on them a penalty tax (Q. 9: 29). Quran takes away the freedom of belief from all humanity and tell clearly that no other religion except Islam is accepted (Q. 3: 85). It relegates those who disbelieve in Quran to hell (Q. 5: 11), calls them najis (filthy, untouchable, impure) (Q. 9: 28). It orders its followers to fight the unbelievers until no other religion except Islam is left (Q. 2: 193).

The Immunity - Denial of Deity of Christ and His Messiahship - [9.30] And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away! It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that he should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When he determines a matter he only says to it "Be" and it is. - Koran 19: 35

For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that he should beget a son. - Koran 19: 92

Of course, the 1989 earthquake was nowhere near the magnitude of 9-11, and was a natural cause disaster, but I had never been IN an event where people died. I lived in the city of SF at the time, was commuting home from the Financial District, so I was outside for the quake. I watched the Bay Bridge deck collapse on my little TV while waiting for the bus. Took 2.5 hours to get home - normally a half hour ride.

And interesting thing - on my walk to the bus, I spoke to a man visiting from Minnesota. He had been in Stacey's Bookstore, looking for a book on the Great Quake of 1906.

I was just about paralyzed for the next day or so. Our house was basically OK - just stuff knocked over, but I couldn't do anything about it. It was just strange. It took a while to get back into my life. I felt horrible about it, because I hadn't been hurt, but there was this pall over the city for a while, even in the midst of many people helping other people.

And, I can still hear the dull roar of the quake, and the facing of the Palace Hotel hitting the sidewalk.

They sound like they don't even care or that it's a routine call. "We're taking it down and recording this"...why do they need to take it down if it's being recorded?

Then "flight operations" breaks in and says, "what flight number are we talking about"? Geez, don't they have some kind of caller ID for their OWN FLIGHTS?

The people on the ground were worthless. I guess the IQ level of airline ground employees is below 50.

And then the ground folks have to call 911? Don't they have some emergency button they can hit? Everyone of the ground people are bureaurcratic idiots you can tell are having to fill out their precious forms and ask their worthless questions.

All of this time delay kept the proper people from being notified in time to send Air Force jets up to determine the threat.

Every single one of those people on the ground should be fired and the entire operation reorganized by someone with a brain!

I downloaded and heard Betty's call. Even after all this time, even though I know the outcome and have lived through the distant horror, I was creeped out listening to the piecemeal account of murder and mayhem, spoken with such control that did begin to erode as the call continued.

The man who took Betty's call didn't seem to understand how drastic the situation was, quickly enough. I hope they've upped their emergency response training, and are teaching the call receivers to ask the right questions. They can do a lot to guide a murder witness in a life-and-death situation through to giving more details. Betty was amazing.
