God forbid that there are still those of us left in the Republican party who put our principles before political expediency and party loyalty. I'd be a millionaire if I had a nickel for everytime a "conservative" on this free republic forum blasts the Democrats for their outrageous spending and the Clinton administration for his big government policies. But apparently it's okay to embrace big government policy and outrageous spending as long as a Republican does it, right? Please...

I'd much rather represent the "ugly side of conservatism" and stay true to my principles of less government than be a party loyalist who let's a politician get away with anything simply because they have an "R" behind their name.
