As important as the White House is, the Congress is equally important. The numbers favor our side in a big way, and if we do our job, our majorities should grow as we head into the next four years.
The Presidential nominee of the Republican Party isn't going to be decided by FReepers or even in the various primaries for that matter outside of going through the process...... It's already decided in that no major candidate stepped forward to challenge thus unless something unforeseen happens President Bush will accept the nomination in Sept.....
You are correct that the Congressional and local/state races offer a lot of opportunity to influence the nominees for the Republican Party....
