I just don't think we help push Bush to the right by shutting up and coddling his liberal tendencies.

We can't...you're correct there. But staying home this November and/or giving support to the alternatives will not push Bush or America to the right either. Write letters, send emails, vote for and support authentic conservative candidates at the senatorial/congressional/state/local levels. See the bigger picture and the historical picture. Yes, it is true that liberal tendencies have infultrated the Republican party as well; in some ways...we've made that bed and now have to sleep in it; in other ways its completely our fault for voting for RINO's; and in some cases the party simply fields a candidate that is electable instead of principled...or worse, its simply about money and power. Thats reality. The brainwashing, socialistic, dumbing-down, anti-American, NWO, globalist, baby killing, death party ideals of liberalism that has infested todays American culture that last 50? or so years is a reality as well. I'm fed up with it too and would love for it to be different. While it is realistic to hold public officials accountable, it is not realistic to expect a %100 shift to the right after 3 years or 8 years of an administration. This will take time...and it won't be perfect. Politics isn't perfect (except in a communistic state /sarcasm)

I'm not a big fan of the 2 party system either...but right now, its a reality. No viable, conservative, principled, electable, 3rd party with staying power and a support base exists right now. It just don't. We have to go with our best shot, and right now...thats GWB and the Republican party. Given GWB's overall record...you must at least conclude that he is %100 better than Clinton/Gore H.Clinton/Clarke or Dean/Edwards (do you envision the kind of world where Howard Dean has the ability to pull the nuclear trigger?); we're just not going to get soemthing like a Paul/Tancredo ticket right now...but thats not to say that in the future...that won't be possible.

I'm not saying I'm going to stay home. You don't have to convince me. I'm just saying some people will, with all the hazardous down-ticket effects. Bush has to watch it.
