How many conservatives are these SuperVoters? Democrats?

What has been shown is that the ideologues in both parties are heavily represented in the primaries. If they get the nominee they want they then vote for him in the general election, if the don't get the one the want they either stay home or go for an alternative outside the party. The classic case right now are the Dean supporters ready to jump ship and go Green again.

hmmm, which raises the Ralf nader question again.

I am trying to get an image on numbers. The consensus was that Republicans are more dedicated that democrats in general. This is why the democrats have had to rely on GOTV (get out the vote) operations.

This of course has lead to voting assisters who made sure union members did not have memory lapses and mistakenly vote wrong. It ticket off union bosses when the found they were taking people to the polls to vote for the other guy. (in certain areas they were expecting 100%. really)

The supervoter could be that base that Bush feels he has and it gives him the ability to breach nasty subjects.

Immigration has to be dealt with realisticly. It may not be a gem campaign topic, but Bush was elected to do a job first and run for re-election second. It may not be any plan on the table now, but at the very least we a talking about it.
