The GOP has moved on. Bush has the Center right and most of the moderate middle. He is sitting on a 53% governing majority and a 320+ electoral advantage. He does not need to pander to a "base" that prides itself in taking its ball and staying at home. The "base" has made its bed and now may as well sleep in it.

One interesting thing I learned in candidate school. Many campaigns are focusing on SuperVoters. People who vote each and every time, even on odd time elections. They view them as a guaranteed target which does not waste campaign materials.
How many conservatives are these SuperVoters? Democrats?
We have all heard of broken glass republicans, but do we have numbers. (look at us we a paying attention months out and pudits say people don't focus until two weeks out.)
