Thanks to both of you for your all your efforts and the EXCELLENT work.
President Bush has done a great deal for the country, for the American people, for Republicans and conservatives.

Here's a wee, helpful hint...
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHO YOU'RE REPLYING TO, WHAT YOU'RE REPLYING TO, OR, IF " CONFUSED ", REFRAIN FROM POSTING ! And I'll accept the apology, though frankly, I don't believe the premise of it at all.
There are some VALID reasons, for the government to do some surveillance on the populace. Unlike you, I am a Conservative, but one who doesn't think that a FREE COUNTRY, means that there are few laws, people will always do the right thing, and that being a Conservative makes one oblivious to reality.
Rush got " caught " NOT by banking regs, but by Dems, who went after everything they could, twisted LEGAL dealings, and I'm talking about doing exactly what the law said ones could do, without any government agency sticking their nose into.

I never said Libya didn't disarm some of its weapons. All I am saying is that you cannot make the conclusion that the entire program of WMD has left Libya. Qadaffi is a terrorist and the head of a terror regime with or without WMD. He wants to kill Americans and Israelis. In addition, I suspect that he did this so that financial sanctions on his gang would be lifted, most likely because he is going bankrupt.
I would also add that Israeli intelligence testified to the PM of Israel that Qadaffi is trying to PURCHASE nuclear devices, which is probably why he needs more cash flow.
Qadaffi cannot be trusted. In the past he denied he even had these programs. This is nothing but a ploy by him to once again enter the international arena under the cover of going against terror.
The fact is his definition of terrorism is much different then ours.
But it seems it will work for him, just like it worked for Arafat when he went against terrorism in the early 1990s.

The negatives of this President vastly outweighs the positive. Republicans love to talk about the taxcuts, without mentioning that he has created a five trillion dollar unfunded mandate that will not only wipe out the tax-cut but will require a tax increase. But, Bush wouldn't be around for that.

It is an embellishment. I don't want to use the word lie because that would get me banned here, and I like arguing too much in this bulletin board.

Not on the national level. Given that I live in IL, it is hard to support the IL state party as well. Maybe if there is a change in leadership, I could support the Republicans again because third parties just don't have a chance other than lodging one's protest.

These were the first posts by First Principle on the thread if you leave out his comment about Talking Point papers (a RAT deal). His own post says he is from IL! Wonder which it is? He is a disruptor IMO!

Does he not realize that congress is the keeper of the purse? And Bush is the keeper of the veto pen. Seems he misplaced it.

As you and I have discussed. You tell a lot about a man or a woman by their enemies.
GW is really blessed with his enemies.
This was a great post! Southack's list is great, and I have used his first one a few times when the lame brained say there is no difference between the two parties. Anyone who says that is truly certifiable.

No you aren't.
To: nopardons
You bet they're LIBERALS ! In fact, they're pretty close to the GREENIES
Backing you up again because this one totally blew my mind.... the Libertarian that I debate in my association forum voted Nader and constantly promotes the Green Party. He is also addicted to The Nation magazine, MoveOn.org and United for Peace and Justice. It seems to me as if "Libertarian" is the point where politics come full circle and right meets left behind the Dark Side of the Moon.

Thanks, Tamsey. :-)
I state the facts, which tends to drive some bonkers. LOL
Libertarians are all over the map... one from column A, two from column B, and a whole lot of duck sauce please. They are NOT Conservatives, even though some of them hold a couple of Conservative positions.
To: templar
BTW, do we agree that goverment surveilance is objectionable to a free people and not a conservative principle?
Sorry, this is one conservative who was damn glad of it when I had a stalker calling me dozens of times a day stating he was going to rape me. Since this fella had already punctured all my car tires one day while I was at work, this was not a threat to take lightly.
Apparently Libertarians would have told me that the government had no right to tap the phone calls and I was out of luck until I actually did get raped.
