Just checking back six hours later and still the national media hasn't picked up the Post story? PHXNews, KMSB, National Review Online all used CNN's unbiased portrait of Franken as a hero that assisted in stopping disruptors of an authorized event.
Outside of this there is a strange silence; especially when you a have a campaign corespondant describe exactly what happened over the radio and verify the NYPost article.
What is more odd is that in the past TWO days the following outfits thought Franken was of interest on more positive stories:
- Detroit Free Press,
- Charlotte Observer,
- The Advertiser,
- Salon,
- CBS News,
- ChronWatch.com,
- Traverse City Record Eagle,
- CNN International,
- NH Primary,
- Toledo Blade,
- Miami Herald,
- Biloxi Sun Herald,
- Taunton Gazette,
- Tacoma News Tribune (twice),
- Washington Times,
- Pittsburgh Post Gazette,
- Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel,
- Elko Daily Free Press,
- CTV,
- Times Picayune,
- Fredericksburg.com,
- Chicago Tribune,
- Santa Maria Times,
- Rapid City Journal,
- Appeal-Democrat,
- Hartford Courant,
- KATV,
- WCIV,
- WJLA,
- Munster Times,
- North County Times,
- Tuscaloosa News,
- The Forum,
- Miami Herald,
- ABC News,
- San Francisco Chronicle,
- The Herald News
Fairly indicting of a liberal press.

post 214: very impressive... and a fierce indictment of a totally corrupt liberal media.

The thought has occurred to me to check out how fair and balanced the media has been with Al Franken since his body slam of a Dean critic. In my last post I showed how there had been an all out media blackout on the story. Since 1/27 there have been 90 stories mentioning Al Franken. Five of them mention the assault. One is from Al Franken himself denying the assault. Of course they come from mainstream news organizations like GOPUSA. One author posted a review of Franken's book four hours ago saying the 'The title screams, but
Al Franken] is a soft-spoken man with a few simple goals". I guess she's speaking of a different Al Franken -- one that doesn't verbally and physically assault those that disagree with him.
If any story can illustrate the bias among the media it is this one.
