does that mean all those who've posted on it can still have access to it or what? I've never really understood very well about the Smokey Back Room.
How is it different from Chat?

Yes, it is not a restricted area.
I've never really understood very well about the Smokey Back Room. How is it different from Chat?
The Smokey Back Room is for the unseemly, hostile debates. Hostility doesn't belong in Chat (as far as I know.)
Can people start a thread in The Smokey Back Room?
Yes, I've done that when the subject was "hot" and wasn't directly related to politics.
