Netscape 7 is Mozilla. No relation to IE :)

I don't think she meant that they were literally the same program ... just that the security issues were similar.

This was certainly true for Netscape 4.*, and also to some extent with 6.*. Netscape 7 and especially 7.1 are huge improvements and on balance probably better from a security standpoint than IE.

The latest version of Mozilla (1.6) is a significant improvement on all of them. It hasn't been wrapped into a Netscape distribution, and may never be at this point since Netscape is getting out of the browser business.

Mozilla is pretty good, but it does have some wierd bugs. Sometimes I cannot copy a web link from the location window. Another time I the same page will let me copy that. It is also difficult to highlight things quickly. And for some reason the cursor blanks out in ceartin spaces when you are enter text in dialog boxs. Sometimes pages show up blank. For instance last night Jills site suddenly showed up blank. Yet is was ok in other browsers. Today it is fine in Mozilla again. Also it is missing right click functions like add shortcut to desktop and set image as wallpaper. Bookmark menu is most annoying when you have a lot of bookmarks. I am constantly fighting with the scrolling thing Sometimes I can't make it sit still. And it won't branch the bookmarks into multiple columns. You helped me get somethings to work thought as I remember. I do have some extra bookmarks on the toolbar now. My Favorite browser was Netscape 4.78. It is obsolete now, in that it fails a lot to load many web pages, but it was the best to use (interface wise) IMHO. None of the above problems.
