What some of the 72,000 football fans climbing into the upper levels of the palatial $449 million Reliant Stadium next Sunday can see is a glimpse of the Erector-set-like collection of chemical plants and refineries that dot the otherwise flat horizon and helped make Houston the energy capital of the world

Hmmm..sure seems like the chem plants are quite possibly targeted. Quickest way (short of nukes) to cause mass destruction.

Fits a couple of the threat characteristics..

- People hit with ammonia cloud would be 'blind' ("after the attack, you Amerikkkans will be blind").

- Would be "a surprise that you don't expect" (we've been expecting suitcase nukes or bio..been so distracted with that, we forget the obvious).

- Would kill/injure the nearly 100,000 they keep talking about.

Just a couple observations..

Interesting read, if just for the telling little line:
"...Sunday's Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston has not been designated
a "special security event" by federal Homeland Security officials,
city authorities have been told by the feds to remain on "high
alert" throughout the weekend."

Yet...

"...fences, concrete barriers, bomb sweeps, metal detectors,
restricted air space, up to 25 police agencies enforcing security
and surveillance cameras on every face within 300 feet of Reliant
Stadium on Sunday.
In other words — "police state" security like the kind that would
be
implemented under the highest alert status, level red."

Is this not adding up to anyone else, or I am just getting really
cynical here?

I agree, looks like a good target area. Wouldn't have to hit the stadium itself to cause a huge mess.

Please don't forget to post your list of things to get. Hope you have time before the weekend to post it. :) hint.
