BASF installation is 60 miles from Houston. Which, if you've been there, is nothing. Houston is spread out all over the place. BASF is where the guard was shot. It would be a rolling fireball, depending on what they used to explode.

BASF in Freeport is huge, very huge. And the wind currents tend to be from south to north off the Gulf most of the year, in the direction of Houston.
Dow Chemical is right next door, across the street literally. Lots of phosgene and other wicked unmentionables between the two. and Dow is bigger than BASF.

The whole coast down there is loaded with targets from Houston to Corpus Christi...Also lots of chemical plants. Check out the naval base...I wasn't going to post this my son is down there but I am sure they already know this.
