CNN just reported breaking news at the top of the hour..... that a new threat has been received by the US in the last 48 hours to use an aircraft to attack either Washington DC or LA. The flights mentioned are Air France and British Airways. CNN is reporting that this threat has been judged to be credible .......and not rehashed intelligence from last months warnings.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that we can again raise our petitions before the Throne of Grace, in light of this new information. Give the greatest wisdom to all those who are gathering information relating to this threat, whether true or false. O God, I pray that You would intervene that nothing comes of any such plans. Let those airlines under scrutiny cooperate to the fullest ... let no one be lax in their vigilance or their responsibility ... bring to light those who would plan and those who would execute such devastation.

And may we be vigilant, wherever we are. May those who are charged with our security be mindful of the multitudes of prayer on their behalf ... may they be successful in thwarting any plan or action. Speak to those nations involved that they would be as zealous as we in seeing terrorism for what it is ... the shedding of innocent blood to advance a cause that sweeps away liberty and freedom. Help us to guard what we have, Heavenly Father, and help us to help others in their desire to be free from all threats. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

FBI and DHS Warns of National Rail System Vulnerabilities (to terror attacks, mentions sarin gas)

WASHINGTON, DC: According to reports from law enforcement sources, a FBI and Department of Homeland Security Bulletin warned that there was a continuing terrorist threat against U.S. subways and railways. The bulletin released on Wednesday said that although no specific information pertaining to an attack existed, "such an attack could not be ruled out."

Mentioned in the bulletin was Usama bin Laden's long-term fascination with the 1995 sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway system.

"An attack on a subway or rail system could cause substantial loss of life, and would have an adverse impact on public confidence, resulting in massive economic loss," the bulletin said, according to a report of it by FoxNews.

At least six foreign flights from Paris, London and Mexico City were cancelled and a dozen others were delayed from Christmas Eve through the first week of January.



(CBS) CBS News Correspondent Bob Orr reports sources say specific, credible threats corroborated by intelligence intercepts suggest terrorists may attack British Airways flights headed for Washington and Air France planes en-route to Los Angeles.

Similar threats surfaced just before the holidays and were a primary reason the Department of Homeland Security raised the nation's terror threat level to Orange on Dec. 21.

At least six foreign flights from Paris, London and Mexico City were cancelled and a dozen others were delayed from Christmas Eve through the first week of January. Then the level of alarm subsided and the threat level was lowered.

Now, U.S. security officials say the threat has re-emerged and authorities have been meeting throughout the day to consider increased security measures including additional air marshals, military escorts of inbound jets and even possible flight cancellations.

At the same time, officials with the Department of Homeland Security say they have no plans at this time to raise the terror threat level again. But, the level of concern is rising and aviation again appears to top the worry list.

This one may be the largest since '85, but there's been others. This one is strange, kinda worries me with everything going on, but I don't see Russia attacking us just yet, if that really is their plan. One of their goals, and probably the one that's most important, hasn't been achieved yet. The disarmament of the US. If they attacked us, wouldn't we strike right back with our arsenal? There may be dozens of nuclear submarines lining up near Russia right now "just in case." It still puts me on edge though, but I don't know if this is the time. The article said Washington was notified, and I'm sure our allies have been as well. I imagine they're prepping for it just as much as Russia is. We still need to pray for protection even if Russia doesn't make their move, because AQ is still trying.
