I just got the news that my precious son's (age 4) blood tests are back. He has Alpha 1 and the numbers on his liver enzymes are shooting up again.
His alkalines have almost doubles, as have ALT and AST. In short, it's not real good. Our wonderful doctor wants to check again in 3 months, but thinks we'll be headed back to Vandy for more aggressive treatment.
Please pray for his health & healing if it is God's will. Also, please pray for us as we cope. I will most certainly give God the glory and ya'll my heartfelt thanks.
I'm going to have a bit of a cry now. He begged to go to Granny's for a few hours and I just couldn't say no.
I replied to a ping that did not make it clear to me that a miraculous change of the course of your boy's affliction has taken place, and I didn't have the time to back-track, as I should have, through the previous threads until just now.
Praise be to the Lord and His mercy. And to your faith and courage. All the best to you and yours, and may the blessings continue and serve as a witness to the power of faith.......
Not bad.
Bad News: Business law is going to be a bear.
Rambette has a test every time her class meets from now until finals are over.
Once finals are over, she only gets three days off before summer session.
Good news: I found out last night that I only need to get a 57 on my Marketing final to get an "A" in the course.
The reason Rambette only gets three days off is that she was one of only two students selected to work with the surgical team at the local hospital this summer.
And, you're praying for us, so how can we have a bad outcome?
Will do. She doesn't post often, partly because she's not really an Internet-phile like I am and partly because she sometimes sits here and reads my stuff and makes helpful suggestions--though I always post that stuff as "Rambette's here with me and she says..."
Business law is a bear...
I knew I was in for a challenge when the professor, the undisputed king of cumulative fianls, told us on the first night that he "just couldn't do that" to us in this course. Yikes!
kimmie7, I often read old threads and came across this 2004 one. When I pray each day I ask God to ‘remember’ the names of all those for whom I promised to pray, so you have been included all this time.
“Please God”, this wonderful news still holds true!
My dear, God has been so faithful to us. Jacob’s tests still come back wonderful and he seems to have no other health problems except for some allergies and slight asthma.
Thank you for writing Kimmie. I was a little hesitant to write you and am so happy to hear Jacob is doing well. Believe he is about 8 or 9 yrs old now!!
9 going on 19...
homeschooled and sharp as a tack, no thanks to me lol

I’m sure “much” of the thanks is due to you. Keep it up!!
