About 2-3 years I was watching someone being interviewed. Celebrities were in the background. The camera panned the room and on the sofa was this woman that resembled a caricature of Dyan Cannon, former wife to Cary Grant. She was hideous looking. She looked like someone slipped with the name during plastic surgery. She looked as weird as Wacky Jacky. Another person I was surprised about their appearance because I hadn't seen them in a camera shot for a long time was Elizabeth Taylor. She looked terrible. Again, it's been a while ago, but she and Debbie Reynolds were talking or being interviewed (can't remember which). Time was good to Debbie but not Taylor.

Russian men kiss each other all the time. I'll never forget the first time I saw it happen, at the Olympics. A male gymnast had just done his routine and as he walked back, he kissed all the men on his team, and his male coach.

I couldn't believe it, it looked so disgusting! But then a Russian friend of mine told me that it was just a greeting, and was common in Russia.

This kiss doesn't bother me at all-their friendship goes back to the sixties. What does bother me is Meryl Streep's fantastically shallow and idiotic political comments the end of her golden globe award....when she said something along the lines of ' oh---and people not committing to a lifetime relationship (meaning marriage) is not even a major problem in our society and then she said something equally creepy for the moment and walked off in an arrogant and pious manner. What a haughty, shallow person. Truly disappoiting.

And since they were celebrating the 'Angels in America' movie, whatever, that she had won her award for, and I guess it was aids centered or something, twas really nasty that they failed to compare what our current administration has done and is trying to do for America vs what scumbag failed to do DURING EIGHT YEARS.

Disappointing to learn that MS Streep is as shallow, as prone to spout off ideas void of full disclosure and and as astoundingly empty as barbra streisand's and michael moore 's and susan sarandon's! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww-vacuous and polticaly correct to the max! Puke city! No courage required!

BTW-wonder if anyone knows what the film on Afganistan that won some award was about? Cameras showed sarandon's mug a bunch as the recipient was speaking so I assume it was anti-conservative in content.

Firstly, for anyone wondering, your picture is good evidence that there was nothing homosexual about DeVito and Douglas' stage kiss. Douglas goes home with Ms. Zeta-Jones (which no-one at Free Republic does) and Danny goes home with his wife Rhea Perlman. The kiss was an act. Actors get paid to act.

Secondly, these guys are cut-ups. Douglas thanked Sharon Stone for sexual favors during his speech. In his introductions DeVito was on the verge of turning the segment into a roast.

These two guys are secure enough in their heterosexuality to engage in a little over-the-top creepiness in the name of hijinks and merriment. They were mocking Britney and Madonna and made an outlandish point that wouldn't have been made otherwise.

Has anyone here ever noticed how Ms. Perlman just glows in the presence of DeVito? When she's with him she always looks like she's having the time of her life. I'd venture to say that any man whose woman is that radiant in public is taking care of business in private.

Douglas and DeVito are self-confident, accomplished, talented and rich. And they were kidding.

Well, maybe it is for self appointed tin gods like these two. They make movies like other people sell groceries, trade stocks, launch space shuttles or bottle pelican piss. Quite often they do nothing special - but they do have cameras on them more often than most other people and here they are working the room like Madonna... tiresome.

At the end of the day, looking at this ridiculous photo, you might find Danny wears a t-shirt saying "I played the height advantage to get Michael to bend over." Grow up? It sure looks like Michael's growing down. If my line of thought doesn't stack up you'll just have to kiss my diverse arse.
