it's that "entitlement " crap that pi$$es me off.
I live WAY too close to Ann Arbor, and the number of times I have been nigh unto KILLED by some moron in a Beemer, latte in one hand, cell-phone in the other, driving WAY too fast and cutting across three laness of traffic to get to the entrance ramp are legion.
And Yuppies breed Soccer Moms..those whiny "my child is ALWAYS right and if he's a bully it's because he's SENSITIVE" types.
Can you guys tell i have a chip on my shoulder? :-)

I found this a well thought out essay.
The Lula - Chavez - Gebhart - Sharpton politics will always be with us.
I am reminded that Eva Peron said "It is not that there are poor, but that there are rich."
The majority of people see themselves as not able to become rich, except perhaps by winning the lottery, and are correct in their assessment.
For most people, getting ahead in the world requires a profound change in their point of view, that is, in themselves, and they have too much fear and lack of imagination, and too little belief in their own responsibility for their station in life, to so change themselves.
Need I point out that "most people", as I refer to them in the last sentence, have most of the votes?
