They're devastated that one of their Golden Networks has decided against them. Haaaa!

I think CBS is afraid that they will violate the campaign financing laws if they run an ad that specifically mentions GWB within 30 days of a primary.
To: prairiebreeze
I think CBS already knows that these communists don't watch football anyway so they really don't care.

"It looks an awful lot like CBS is playing politics with the right to free speech," charged MoveOn.org in the e-mail....

For a change, cheers for CBS!
BTW, is any organization legally obligated to accept all ads?

Yeah, that's it. A civilian enterprise owes you a soapbox. Gee, I can't seem to find that in my edition of the Bill of Rights.

MoveOn.org blames Bush for brokering a deal with the television networks to give them more power over their content."It looks an awful lot like CBS is playing politics with the right to free speech," charged MoveOn.org in the e-mail.
That says it all right there. Moveon.org is complaining about free speech yet they are mad that CBS has free speech.

I think CBS realizes that viewership declines after shoes and ashtrays travel through the TV tube...

Soros has many friends in high places, even in the neo-con dominated organizations such as the AEI. Robert Kagan, Elliot Abram, Richard Perle,....

Look for CBS to reverse their decision sometime late Friday or Saturday. That will give the other side no time to launch a protest or mobilize against the left. I just can't see CBS passing up a golden opportunity to stick one to Bush.

The Move ON petition, signed by all 10 members and George Soros, will be hard for CBS to ignore! LOL
To: prairiebreeze
I hope they get to air their little commie-mercial. I'd love to watch MoveOn.org defunded at a rate of $70,000 per second.

I disagree. The owner of CBS said he won't run ANY political ads during the super bowl becuase it was not the right atmosphere for it. He said the last thing a football viewer would want to see is politics between quarters.
