Asbestos fears in the Mother Lode area are a bunch of you know what. All the naturally occurring absbestos in this area is due to serpentine rocks which make up the BlueSchist Facies in this area. The type of asbestos that occurs in these rocks are short fiber not long fiber. The only area where this type of asbestos occurs is in Quebec, Canada and is no longer mined. Short fiber asbestos has never been shown to cause cancer.

Eldorado County has a highway running through it to skiing and gambling on the way to Lake Tahoe and it creates an obsession amongst Sacramento Government Lovers to "preserve" (read suffocate or mummify) any and ALL BUILDING ACTIVITY that ruins their "viewshed" from US 50!!!

Eldorado County has a river running through it that has become dominated by the above mentioned commercial whitewater rafting industry and an aggressive Land Trust/Conservancy that are just as obsessed over potential building on their viewshed FROM THE RIVER!!!

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with any real threat of the type of asbestos found in this county to children, or anyone else!!! We also have naturally occuring Arsenic that all of Sacramento's water supply runs through as the drunken rafters pee in it, that is something else that these idiots keep trying to "stirr up!"

It's getting too stupid to spend any time responding to!!! We might as well not have any local or state govenment when we are told we cannot trust them to protect us from such false scourges!!!
