"It might have been a little over the edge, but I meant it with all my heart."

Hey, I like it. It was brief, to the point and effective. Some people don't understand anything BUT the unequivocal threat of devestating force.

We're edgy because we're being inundated by trolls. The fact that you completely mistook a well known Ann Coulter quote and even chided the quoter does not make us any less edgy.

But typical, I could write all night about what they did when they came down in the 1972 Easter Offensive.

Dude, I didn't get new skives (in the Nam) till they rotted of my hairy, old, ugly a##. If that was the southern part, you can imagine what the armpits smelled like. If you are a Ranger, plan on a bath every two months. It's part of the job! But, ain't happy that ya got us?

I appreciate the 'Thank You' but there are many more that need that now. Thank them, and thank them hard and often.

I don't have to imagine what you smelled like because I had to go out with you in Vietnam (1972) and Korea (1968/69). Boy I sure was glad when I was finished doing what I was doing that Huey would pick me up and carry me back to my swimming pool and airconditioned BOQ room.

Actually you weren't that safe if you knew what the Weathermen, SDS, SLA, Black Panthers, and many others were up to. They never made most of this public. Remember when the U S Capitol building was bombed in 1971 or the truck bomb at the University of Wisconsin?

Hey dude, it doesn't bother us. Jesus, Mary and Joseph we had to smell ourselves that's bad enough pallie. When you have to yell 'down the line' "anybody want to trade pork steak and gravy for some used skives. You are in deep, hygenic shit, OK. You adapt and overcome. We may not have smelled very good, and we didn't, but ask the 1st and 7th Marines what we did in Hue in '67. I don't think they gave a s##t what we smelled like.

I was in suburban Texas and felt like the west coast and east coast had lost it.We had our trauma in '63.

I have never known a radical.I know the radicals were hoping for a revolution.A lot of them were idealistic but a lot of their leaders were just criminals and the idealists became criminals. They didn't mind tyranny as long as they were in charge...commies.

Well on occasion we did invite the infrantry to some of our parties, if only to cheat them out of their money when we had the DOFA championships.
