Rove is probably sitting in his office wondering what happebned to his simple plan.
That being: After Clinton, most right-of-centers would be to sickened by the mere thought of a DemonRat win to break rank, so the probable Rove reasoning goes, we can slide toward the Hispanics, plck them up and not get bagged like Herbert Walker Bush did. AND we'll be doing something conservative icon R.R. did back in '86!
For my part this reasoning was accurate right up until that stupid, brain-dead amnesty thing was floated by us. There is a LIMIT and THATS IT! I'm hoping the repubs see the stupidity of ticking off the base and try the novel approach OF WINNING THRU LEADERSHIP rather than pandering nonsense like Amnesty.

No. YOU don't get it. Rove is BRILLIANT, you fool!
(Too bad for Mr. Rove, however: No one else gets it either. We are just a bunch of dumb hicks from fly-over country: What do WE know about what is best for the Republican Party fat-cat donors?)
