Typical breathless overstatement from a college-age liberal. She floors the gas from the first sentence and leaves it there till she's done. It's wall to wall drama. Every adjective is maxed out -- the whole thing's just one giant superlative. What language has she left for herself when she actually encounters real evil manipulator?

"shone light on a blade wielded so wisely and ferociously by the Right"

"Bush's brilliance in the linguistic arena"

"Never mind the program is severely overburdened and underfunded, rendering Bush's promises totally hypocritical and void of meaning."

"Therein lies the majesty of what the Right has done. Everyone agrees with them"

"...disclose our confidential personal information to innumerable intelligence agencies..."

"exposing the truth behind such beautifully packaged refuse"

Etc, etc...

Liberals, learn to modulate a little! You don't have to peg the needle the whole time.

Good point - and nice job on the excerpts.

"Bush's brilliance in the linguistic arena"

Last I heard Bush was anything but brilliant in everything, including speech.

I thought she actually made us sound pretty good. One thing of note -- she seems to be one little liberal who's caught on that Dubya is not the illiterate moron that they always think he is. I've noticed that one liberal behavior trope is to claim that the pubs have already won -- that we control everything. It's crap of course, our "control" of congress and the presidency seems more than offset by their lock on the judiciary and the mainstream press. But we seem to be making some progress. We have to be really really patient just like the libs. This mess wasn't created overnight, it won't be fixed overnight. The movement must go on long after W has served his second term and retired. That's why these people that are ready to jump ship because he's not right enough are so disheartening. He may not be right enough, but if he is successful it will open the door for more and more conservative candidates.
