Did you ever think that maybe you are, yourself on a personal campaign to see him defeated? I don't see that at all where I am at. In fact, I see the opposite. I see huge numbers of moderate Democrats coming over to our side, and Republicans here don't even know this forum exists and they are quite happy with his performance.
Sorry, when I said "our" I excluded you.

personal campaign to see him defeated? Not at all, I supported him strongly in 2000. I'm just echoing the sentiment of many Republicans in this area of southern California. We thought we supported a conservative, and we have been greatly disappointed.

I see huge numbers of moderate Democrats coming over to our side I'm seeing the same thing here as far as moderate Democrats go, however I am also seeing Republicans who are very disappointed in Bush, with "non-amnesty" amnesty being the final straw. Most are saying they will sit this election out. Ofcourse, the election is still a long way off and things change.
