My son started as a first officer with HNorizon when he was 21 and left after 20 months for a regional to fly RJs. He upgraded to captian just before turning 25.

Congratulations to your son. The airline job market is going to be very hot at the regional level for about the next five years. A press release from Bombardier just announced delivery of their 1000th RJ and they have firm book orders for about 1000 more. The only advice I can give is to beware the siren song of the majors until they get some semblence of financial stability.
