I agree with you. George Bush is not King. These people were eating dinner, talking and discussing matters. Cherie Blair was perfectly entitled to speak her mind as was Laura who apparently did. If the husbands were embarassed by their wives, well what husbands aren't. This is a tempest in a teapot. Do people think these women ought to keep silent. Next thing you know, they will require a burka. And I for one agree with Cherie over the death penalty and probably with Laura on abortion. So there.
A human interest story that the four of them mixed it up a little bit. Cherie Blair has nothing to apologize for regarding that dinner conversation; she's an avowed liberal. BTW, I support capital punishment; on abortion, I support it with limits, as a state matter.
However, anyone who, like Cherie, trumpets the "Bush stole power" bit is both wrong and indiscreet.
